Row 1: Ch 10. Dc in the 3rd Ch from the hook, Dc into the same st. Dc in the next 2 st, Trc in the next 2 st, Dc in the next 2 st, 2 Dc in the last st (10)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Place the mouth under the eyes/nose and sew on, making sure to NOT sew the nose area to the mouth. We need the nose area to not be sewn onto the mouth because later we will place the actual nose inside this nose area. Once you’re done sewing, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Face Assembly:

In Brown Yarn

Now that the eyes and mouth are sewn together, we will crochet around the entire piece in brown yarn. Place your hook into the back loop of any stitch on the face and pull up brown yarn. Working in the BLO, Sc around the entire face. If there’s a part where it’s difficult to crochet in the back loop, simply make a regular Sc in any loop you can. Once done, finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the face onto the toy’s body as shown and sew or hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Beak:

In Brown Yarn
