Bluebell Flower Plant Amigurumi – Free Crochet Pattern

Supplies:
• Yarn 4/Medium Weight Yarn in…
Medium brown, dark brown, green, and flower color (such as purple, blue, pink, or yellow)
•4mm Crochet Hook
•9mm safety eyes
•Tapestry needle to weave in ends
•Hot glue (recommended to glue on flowers)
•Scissors
•Stuffing
•Black embroidery thread for smile and eyebrows

This bluebell crochet plant is really cute and fun to play with because the flowers swing as you move the toy! This pattern has super cute end results and you can make the flowers in any color! You could even alternate the colors of the flowers for an even more exciting look 🙂 This pattern is perfect for the spring and summer, and you’ll never have to worry about accidentally killing this plant!

Pot:

In Medium Brown

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (24)
Round 5: *Inc, Sc in the next 3 st* all around (30)
Round 6: Working in the BLO, *Sc* all around (30)
Round 7-9: *Sc* all around (30)
Now we will mark where to place the eyes. Add a different colored stitch marker into the 10th and 13th stitch. Later we will replace these stitch markers with safety eyes.
Round 10-13: *Sc* all around (30)
Add the eyes into the marked areas now.
Round 14: Turn the pot so it looks like the picture. Working in the BLO, *Dc* all around. SlSt to the first Dc in the round to complete. (30)

Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Soil:

In Dark Brown

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (24)
Round 5: *Inc, Sc in the next 3 st* all around (30)
Finish off, leaving a long tail to sew the soil to the pot. Align the soil stitches to the pot’s stitches (Pic 2) and sew together by inserting the needle into the loops of the soil, then into the loop of the pot (Pic 3). Repeat this around, making sure to firmly stuff the pot before fully sewing closed. Once sewn together, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Bottom Stems: (Make 2)

In Green

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2-11: *Sc* all around (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff each stem firmly. Pin the bottom stems onto the soil as shown, making sure the left stem is closer to the front, and the right stem is closer to the back. Sew each stem on, then weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Top Stems: (Make 2)

In Green

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2-8: *Sc* all around (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff each stem firmly. Pin the top stems onto the existing stems as shown. Sew each stem on, then weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Front Leaf:

In Green

Row 1: Ch 8. Sc in the 2nd Ch from the hook. Sc in the next st, make 2 Hdc into the next st, Hdc 1 time in the next st, Dc in the next 3 st (8)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the leaf onto the front area in front of the two stems as shown and sew on. Once sewn on, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Back Leaf:

In Green

Row 1: Ch 8. Sc in the 2nd Ch from the hook. Sc in the next st. Hdc dec 1 time. Hdc in the next st, Dc in the next 2 st (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the leaf onto the back area behind the two stems as shown and sew on. Once sewn on, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Flowers: (Make 4)

In Flower Color

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: Repeat *Inc in the next st, SlSt into that same st* 3 times. SlSt in the next st. Inc in the next st, SlSt in the next st (13)
Finish off and weave in ends.

Cut a 6″ piece of green yarn (Pic 1). Place a small dab of hot glue onto the back of the flower. Place the end of the green yarn onto the hot glue, using a needle to settle the yarn and glue together so you don’t burn your fingers (Pic 2). Place the other end of green yarn onto your needle (Pic 3), then bring this yarn into the top stem of the flower and pull the yarn until the flower dangles from the stem (Pic 4-5). Once you’re satisfied with the placement, tie the end of green yarn into a knot (Pic 6), then bring the knot inside the stem to hide (Pic 7). The knot will help secure the flower into place. Now, cut any excess yarn and weave in ends.

Smile:

In Black Embroidery Thread

Insert needle into the middle area of the toy as shown (Pic 1) and pull needle out at the left of the toy’s eye as shown (Pic 1). Reinsert needle into the middle of the toy (Pic 2) and pull needle out next to the toy’s right eye (Pic 2). Reinsert needle into the middle of the toy as shown (Pic 3) and pull needle out nearby. Tie ends of thread into firm knots and bring knots inside the toy to hide. Cut any excess yarn.
