Supplies:
4mm crochet hook, 4/Medium weight yarn in red. 8mm safety eyes, black embroidery thread, tapestry needle, scissors, and stuffing.

Additional Information:
Difficulty: Easy
We start by making the left side of the heart, then set it aside. We then make the right side of the heart, then crochet the two pieces together. It’s very simple when viewing the pictures. We then start decreasing the heart, add the eyes, and done!

First Heart Side: (Make 1)

In Any Color

Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (18)
Round 4-5: *Sc* all around (18)
Finish off here and set aside. Now continue to the second heart side pattern.

Second Heart Side: (Make 1)

In Any Color

Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (18)
Round 4: *Sc* all around (18)
Round 5: Sc in the next 6 st (Pic 1). Now take the first heart piece (Pic 2) and line up the stitches to the heart (Pic 3).

Single crochet one, going through both stitches on the first and second heart piece (Pic 4-10).

Now continuing on the working heart (Pic 11), Sc in the next 11 st

Round 6: Sc in the next 6 st. Now we meet the other heart (Pic 1) . Sc in the next 17 st on the other side of the heart. (Pic 2) Now we meet the other side of the heart (Pic 3). Sc in the next 11 st (Pic 4).

Round 7: Dec in the next st, Sc in the next 2 st. Sc in the next st and add a different colored st marker in the Sc just made. This marks where to place the eye. Sc in the next 3 st. *Dec* in the next st and add a different colored st marker to the Dec just made. Sc in the next 6 st. *Dec* in the next st, Sc in the next 6 st, *Dec* in the next st, Sc in the next 8 st (30)

Round 9: *Dec, Sc 3* all around (24)
Add safety eyes in now

Round 10: *Sc* all around (24)
Round 11: *Dec, Sc 2* all around (18)
Round 12: *Sc* all around (18)

Stuff here

Round 14: *Sc* all around (12)
Round 15: *Dec* all around (6)
Finish off and add any additional stuffing. Sew closed.

Smile:

With Black Embroidery Thread

Insert needle in the middle of the mouth, and pull it out where shown (Pic 1). Reinsert needle back into the middle of the smile, and pull out on opposite side as shown (Pic 2). Finally, reinsert needle into the middle of the smile and pull through (Pic 3). Weave in ends.

Done!

      1. I’m confused did you only do 1 sc yo both heart pieces at first then did the sc in 11 st and then once came back around added 2 more sc sts to both to connect them again? Cause it’s not looking right and yours looks like you did 4 in the row to connect them but then you’re instructions doesn’t say that it just says 1 sc to connect then 11 sc sts after but doesn’t specify if you’re still connecting the heart pieces or not..

  3. This is so cute, but it looks better if you add another row of six scs at the end for row 16 (it makes it a little pointier, the heart on the right).
