Loaf Bunny Amigurumi – Free Crochet Pattern

• Yarn 4/Medium Weight Yarn in…
Light pink, hot pink, and white
•4mm Crochet Hook
•Tapestry needle to weave in ends
•Scissors
•Stuffing
•Hot glue
•12mm safety eyes

This loaf bunny is so adorable and cuddly, it fits right into the palm of your hand! It’s the perfect gift for Easter or Spring. These bunnies would look great in a variety of pastel colors, such as pastel purple, pastel yellow, pastel blue, and pastel green. Let’s get started!
Head/Body:
Start in Light Pink
We start at the head and work our way down.
Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (24)
Round 5: *Inc, Sc in the next 3 st* all around (30)
Round 6-9: *Sc* all around (30)
Now we will mark where to place the safety eyes. Add a different colored stitch marker into the 11th and 16th stitch in Round 9. Later we will replace these with safety eyes.
Round 10: Working in the FLO, *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (40)
Round 11-13: In BOTH loops, *Sc* all around (40)
Add the safety eyes into the marked areas now.
Round 14: *Dec, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (30)
Round 15: *Dec, Sc in the next 3 st* all around (24)
Round 16: Change to White. Working in the FLO, *Inc, Sc in the next 3 st* all around (30)
Round 17: Working in BOTH loops, *Inc, Sc in the next 4 st* all around (36)
Stuff the head firmly now.
Round 18: Repeat *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* 3 times. Sc in the next 18 st. Repeat *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* 3 times (42)
Round 19: Repeat *Inc, Sc in the next 3 st* 3 times. Sc in the next 18 st. *Inc, Sc in the next 3 st* 3 times (48)
Round 20-24: *Sc* all around (48)
Round 25: *Dec, Sc in the next 6 st* all around (42)
Round 26: *Dec, Sc in the next 5 at* all around (36)
Round 27: *Dec, Sc in the next 4 st* all around (30)
Round 28: *Dec, Sc in the next 3 st* all around (24)
Stuff the body firmly now. Continue stuffing after each round.
Round 29: *Dec, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (18)
Round 30: *Dec, Sc in the next st* all around (12)
Round 31: *Dec* all around (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the remaining stitches closed and weave in ends. Cut any excess yarn.
Ears: (Make 2)
In Light Pink
Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (24)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold the circle slightly in half. Pin the ears on as shown and sew or hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.
Nose:
In White
Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: Sc in the next st, Dc in the next st, Trc into that same st. Ch 1. Trc in the next st, Dc into that same st. Sc in the next 2 st. SlSt into the next st to complete.
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Nose Embroidery:
In Hot Pink
Insert needle into the middle of the nose (Pic 1), then pull needle out at the top left where shown (Pic 1). Reinsert into the same middle area (Pic 2), then pull needle out at the top right where shown (Pic 2). Reinsert into the same middle area and pull (Pic 3). Making sure the yarn tails are on the back side of the fabric, tie knots to secure and cut excess yarn.

Pin the nose on as shown and hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.
Bow:
In Hot Pink
Row 1: Ch 11. Skip the next 2 ch, Dc in the 3rd ch. Dc in the next 8 st (9)
Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Dc in the next 9 st (9)
Row 3: Sc around the entire bow to make the edges smooth. Once you meet the first Sc, SlSt to it to complete. Finish off, leaving a very long tail for the bow.
Weave the tail of yarn to the middle of the bow (Pic 1). Wrap this yarn around the middle of the bow firmly to make the bow shape (Pic 2-3). Once done, place the yarn onto a needle. Bring the needle through the middle of the bow to the other side, then tie a firm knot to secure the wrapped part. Cut any excess yarn and hot glue the bow to the toy as shown (Pic 4).

Tail:
In White
First, cut a 12″ piece of white yarn and set aside for later. Now, take white yarn and wrap it around for 3 fingers 80 times (Pic 1, 2, & 3). Now take the yarn off your fingers (Pic 4). Wrap the 12″ piece of yarn around the yarn a few times (Pic 5-6). Do this tightly to secure. Now, cut the loops of yarn as shown (Pic 7-10). Be sure to cut all the longer pieces of yarn off to get a puffy ball. Finally, hot glue the pom pom to the back of the toy as shown (Pic 12).

Arms: (Make 2)
In White
Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (9)
Round 3: *Sc* all around (9)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the arms on as shown and sew on, making sure to add stuffing before fully sewing on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.
Legs: (Make 2, Optional)
In White
I liked how the bunny sat without legs. It looks like the bunny’s legs are tucked in its fur. You can add legs if you want to!

Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the legs on as shown and sew on, making sure to add stuffing before fully sewing on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.
