Supplies:
4mm crochet hook. 4/Medium weight yarn in any desired color. Black embroidery thread. 6mm safety eyes. Stuffing. Scissors. Tapestry needle.

Additional Information:
Difficulty: Easy
This pattern is quick and easy! With it, you can make either an alligator, dinosaur, or lizard. Put two spikes on the back and put on white smile for an alligator, one spike for a dinosaur, and either one or none for the lizard. Use thinner yarn or a smaller hook for a lizard. I used a thinner 4 weight yarn.
We start by making the head, which leads into the body and tail. All are made as one piece. There is an optional way to make the body where the arms are made in the body as one piece. If you want to make the arms separate, you can. We then make the back spike and sew it on.
This pattern calls for “Main Color”. Use any color you’d want the main color of your reptile to be.

  1. These look so lovely, do you think there would be a way to add wings to make dragons?

    1. Thank you! Yes you can add wings 🙂 I have a bat pattern on my site (click here to see it), and the wings used on that pattern are fairly small and could be used to put on the reptile body of this pattern. If you’re making a dragon with this pattern, I would also add one spike in between the wings, and the teeth/smile mentioned in this pattern. I hope that works out for you, and please don’t hesitate to let me know if you need help or have questions!

  2. In the reptile with no-sew arms, round 22 is missing. Is it sc all around for 22-24? Meaning 3 rounds of sc before another decrease round.

    1. Oops, sorry about that! You’re exactly correct – single crochet all around for round 22-24. I went ahead and updated the pattern as well 🙂 Sorry again, and please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions! ❤️
