• Yarn 4/Medium Weight Yarn in…
White, grey, black, light pink, yellow, and red
•4mm Crochet Hook
•9mm safety eyes
•Tapestry needle
•Scissors
•Stuffing
•Hot glue (optional)

This seagull is adorable and perfect for anyone who loves the beach! What makes this seagull even cuter is that he’s resting on a floatie! This pattern is easy, simple, and quick to make. He’s such a cute and eye-catching decoration, perfect for a shelf or desk!

Body:

Start in White

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc in the next 2 st* all around (24)
Round 5-6: *Sc* all around (24)
Now we will mark where to place the safety eyes. Add a different colored stitch marker into the 14th and 19th stitch in Round 6. Later we will replace these stitch markers with safety eyes.
Round 7-9: *Sc* all around (24)
Add the safety eyes into the marked areas now. In the next round we will form the back of the seagull.
Round 10: Sc in the 5 st. Ch 8. Inc in the 2nd Ch from the hook. Sc in the next 6 ch. Working back on the body, Sc in the next 19 st (Stitch count: 32. Stitch count will be 38 if you count the other side of the chain, which has an additional 6 stitches.)
Round 11: Sc in the next 5 st. Working on the side of the chain we haven’t crocheted on yet, Sc in the next 6 st. Now we meet the tip of the chain. Sc in the next st, Inc in the next st, Sc in the next 6 st down the chain. Working back on the body, Sc in the next 19 st (39)
Round 12-17: *Sc* all around (39)
Round 18: Repeat *Dec, Sc in the next 4 st* 6 times. Dec 1 time, Sc in the next st (32)
Round 19: Repeat *Dec, Sc in the next 3 st* 6 times. Dec 1 time (25)
Stuff the head firmly now.
Round 20: Repeat *Dec, Sc in the next 2 st* 6 times. Sc in the next st (19)
Stuff the body firmly now. Continue stuffing after each round.
Round 21: *Dec, Sc in the next st* 6 times. Sc in the next st (13)
Round 22: *Dec* 6 times. Sc in the next st (7)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the remaining stitches together and weave in ends. Once done, cut any excess yarn.

Beak: (Make 2)

In Yellow

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring. SlSt to the first st to complete. (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the mouth pieces on as shown and sew on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Cheeks: (Make 2)

In Pink

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring. SlSt to the first st to complete. (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the cheeks on as shown and sew or hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Wings: (Make 2)

In Grey

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4-5: *Sc* all around (18)
Round 6: *Dec, Sc in the next st* all around (12)
Round 7-8: *Sc* all around (12)
Round 9: *Dec* all around (6)
Round 10: *Sc* all around (6)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the arms on as shown and sew or hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Embroider the tip of the wing with black yarn. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Feet: (Make 2)

In Yellow

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pin the feet on as shown and sew or hot glue on. Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn.

Tube:

Start in White

Round 1: 6 Sc into a Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc in the next st* all around (18)
Round 4-6: *Sc* all around (18)
Round 7-10: Change to red. *Sc* all around (18)
Round 11-14: Change to white. *Sc* all around (18)
Round 15-18: Change to red. *Sc* all around (18)
Stuff firmly here
Round 19-22: Change to white. *Sc* all around (18)
Round 23-26: Change to red. *Sc* all around (18)
Round 27-30: Change to white. *Sc* all around (18)
Stuff firmly here
Round 31-34: Change to red. *Sc* all around (18)
Round 35-38: Change to white. *Sc* all around (18)

Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the rest firmly now. Bring the ends of the tube together as shown (Pic 2).

Using the tail end of yarn, sew the two ends together to form the tube (Pic 3). Once done, weave in ends and cut any excess yarn. Done! (Pic 4)
