I figured crayons would be a cute amigurumi for back to school time! I’m so sorry for anyone having to go back to school, the summers go by super fast. 🙁 But hopefully crayons with smiley faces on them will cheer you up haha.

4mm crochet hook, 4/Medium weight yarn in any desired colors for crayon, pink yarn for cheeks, black yarn. 8mm safety eyes, black embroidery thread, tapestry needle, scissors, and stuffing.

Additional Information:
Difficulty: Easy

This pattern is to make a cute crayon! From top to bottom a crayon is 12″. The crayon is all one piece, and we start by making it at the tip. We eventually work in front loops and back loops to shape the crayon, so be you can do those stitches.
For colors, pick the “Main Color” you want your crayon to be. This will be the color used at the tip and the end of the crayon. The second color we use is the “Lighter Main Color”. Pick a color significantly lighter than the main color and use if for the paper surrounding the crayon. For example, I used dark purple as the main color and light purple for the lighter main color for the purple crayon.

  1. Just love your patterns. I too find that crocheting is a great stress and anxiety relief. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to list the brand and color yarn you use in your patterns? It would be nice to know if we want to do an exact match or order yarn online.

    1. Yay that’s so awesome that you find crochet a stress relief hobby as well 🙂 And of course I will try my best to mention the yarn colors! I have a bad habit of the yarn bands accidentally falling off the yarn as I crochet and then I forgot the color or brand, so I’ll try to write the color before I start a project! Thanks for letting me know <3

  2. your patterns are so cute but how do you print or save the free patterns?
