Hello everyone! This free french fry crochet pattern marks the last of the entire free fast food set! I had so much fun making this set and I hope you loved it. Do you guys enjoy amigurumi bundles? If so, what should I make for the next bundle? I would love to know 🙂 Next week I’ll be releasing a new pattern totally unrelated to food, so check back with me next week!
And below is a picture of the full free food bundle:
Supplies:
• Yarn 4/Medium Weight Yarn in… Red and yellow • 4mm Crochet Hook • 8mm safety eyes for bun •Tapestry needle •Scissors •Stuffing
Additional Information:
Difficulty: Intermediate
• Getting Started This pattern required to work completely around a chain. I included photos on how to do this, but if that technique is very unfamiliar for you, it might be best to watch a video 🙂 We will first start by making the fry box, then the fry box insert, then the fries! Let’s get started.

Fry Box:
Start in Red
The fry box is made by creating a chain. We will work entirely around this chain to form a round – NOT working back and forth in a row.
Row 1: Ch 11 (Pic 1). Sc 3 times in the 2nd Ch from the hook (Pic 2). Sc in the next 8 st, Sc 3 times in the next Ch. Now we meet the end of the chains (Pic 3). Turn to the OTHER side, where we haven’t made any stitches yet (Pic 4). Sc in the next 8 st (Pic 5) (22)

Round 2:*Inc* in the next 3 st. Sc in the next 8 st, *Inc* in the next 3 st, Sc in the next 8 st (28) Round 3: In the BLO, *Sc* all around (28) Round 4-5: In BOTH loops, *Sc* all around (28) Round 6: *Inc, Sc 6* all around (32) Round 7: *Sc* all around (32) Add an eye stitch marker into the 12th and 16th stitch on Round 7. These will mark where to place the eyes later; I recommend using a different color for these stitch markers as to not confuse them for your round stitch marker. Round 8-10: *Sc* all around (32) Round 11: *Inc, Sc 7* all around (36) Round 12-13: *Sc* all around (36) Round 14-15: Dc in the next 12 st, Hdc in the next st, Sc in the next st, SlSt in the next 9 st, Sc in the next st, Hdc in the next st, Dc in the next 11 st (36) Finish off now. Weave in ends. Add eyes into the marked areas from Round 7 now.
Fry Box Insert:
Start in Yellow
Before we can make the fries, we need to place a piece inside the fry box. This piece will allow us to stuff the box. We will also sew the fries to this piece.
Round 1: Ch 12. Sc 3 times in the 2nd Ch from the hook. Sc in the next 9 st. Sc 3 times in the next st, Now we meet the end of the chains. Turn to the OTHER side, where we haven’t made any stitches yet. Sc in the next 9 st (24) Round 2: *Inc* in the next 3 st, Sc in the next 9 st, *Inc* in the next 3 st, Sc in the next 9 st (30) Round 3:*Inc, Sc in the next st* 3 times, Sc in the next 9 st, *Inc, Sc in the next st* 3 times, Sc in the next 9 st (36) Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Place the yellow piece into the box, try to line it up to Round 13 on the fry box (Pic 1). Take a long piece of red yarn and place it on a needle. Insert your needle into Round 13 of the box (Pic 2). Pull needle through a stitch on the yellow piece (Pic 3). Insert needle into next stitch on fry box (Pic 4). Repeat this until it’s nearly sewn closed (Pic 5). Stuff the fry box firmly now! Continue sewing closed, and weave in ends.
