    2. I love amigurumi ans other crocheter toys. As the younger generation is now having babies, it lets me give fun gifts, things that are beyond basic sweaters and blankets, (nice as they are). At showers, they always get comments like,”How did you make that?” or even, “Where did you buy it?” Thanks for the PDF. It will be put to good use.

      1. Aw that is really nice, I know how much people love handmade toys! Plus crochet toys are a gift babies can keep for a few years without outgrowing. Thanks so much for your comment, I really hope you can make some cute avocados with the PDF! They would make a great baby shower gift for sure. 🙂

  15. Hi! I gave you my email, but I didn´´ t receive that Avocado pattern. Can you please send me it? Thank you sooooo much:)

  16. Hiya! I absolutely love all of your crochet patterns. Many of them have turned out excellent! For this pattern I wonder what does it mean when it says “turn” then sc 1 etc. am I being silly? I just don’t know what turn means! Do I need to turn the avocado? Thank you so much!

    1. Hi there Cerys,

Thank you so much for all the kind words! I’m so happy you’ve been enjoying my patterns 🙂

For the part that says “turn”, we are creating the head of the avocado. So when we do this, we will no longer be working in continuous rounds. Instead, we will be working in rows. This means we will turn our work, and continue working on the stitches we had just created.

To do this you will hold your crochet piece as normal, then turn it so the opposite side is facing you. This is how we work in rows 🙂 It’s a bit hard to describe in writing, but if you need help working in rows, there are great video tutorials out there showing how to work in rows!

I hope this could help you out. Please feel free to let me know if I can clarify anything or help with anything else!

      Olive
