Supplies:
4mm crochet hook, 4/Medium weight yarn in tan, white, red, and brown. 9mm safety eyes, tapestry needle, black embroidery thread, scissors, and stuffing.

Additional Information:
Difficulty: Easy
We start by making the head. Then, we create all the face pieces and sew them on. Next, we make the body, arms, and legs. Finally we make the smile and optional bow.

Head:

In White

Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3-4: *Sc* all around (12)
Round 5: *Inc, Sc* all around (18)
Round 6: *Sc* all around (18)
Switch to Tan
Round 7: Sc in the next 6 st, Inc in the next 6 st, Sc in last 6 st (24)
Round 8: Sc in the next 6 st, Inc in next st, Sc in next st, Sc 2 times in next st and add different colored stitch marker to Sc just made. This marks the eye. Sc in next st, Repeat *Inc in next st, Sc in next st* 2 times, Inc in next st, Sc in next st and add different colored St marker to Sc just made. Inc in next st, Sc in last 7 st (30)

Pin arms and legs on as shown and sew arms and legs on.

Smile:

With Black Embroidery Thread

Insert needle with thread on the side of the mouth, pulling out about 2 stitches from insertion (Pic 1). Reinsert needle back into original insertion, pulling out where shown (Pic 2). Now insert needle the same way but on the opposite side of the mouth (Pic 3). Reinsert needle as shown and pull out at the middle of the mouth (Pic 4). Sew middle of the mouth down to secure (Pic 5).

Bow:

In Red

Row 1: Ch 8. Sc in 2nd Ch from hook. Sc in next 6 st (7)
Row 2-3: Turn, Sc in next 7 St (7)
Finish off. Weave tail to the middle of the bow (Pic 2) Wrap this tail around the middle of the bow a few times (Pic 3-4). Sew tail in to secure (Pic 5). Pin on the head for the girl.
