  1. I am looking forward to this CAl! I do have a question regarding FOs, can I submit several FOs?

    1. Yay I hope you have fun with it! You totally can submit multiple FOs, I would love that! However for the prize, only one entry per person will apply just to keep it fair for everyone 🙂 (and the winner will be selected randomly, not selected on “quality”. This is all just for fun 🌞). I can’t wait to see what you do!

      1. Okay, cool! That sounds fun and fair. Now, time to make that pineapple;) I don’t have any yellow yarn at the moment, so I am thinking of making it in another color. We will see how that goes…

  8. This Summer Bundle is so cute!
Here are some mini and regular sized ice cream scoop cones that I made.
The “striped” type yarn works great for large scoops, variegated look, or mini scoops, many little “flavors” from one skein of yarn!

    1. Yay they look very cute! I LOVE confetti so the little confetti ice cream is for sure my favorite from the bunch 🙂 You did an A+ job on them! Thank you so much for sharing your ice creams with us ❤️

    2. I love the tiny eyes you used for the mini ice cream cones. If I might ask… what size did you use? The striped ice cream is great. It looks like sherbet or Italian spumoni!

  9. Pineapple

      1. Hi Anaïs! Your pineapple looks super awesome even without the eyes! Is it being used as play food? I’m sure your daughter will love it! And it’s great that you learned a new stitch. It’s kind of rare to use a special stitch with amigurumi, the shell stitch makes the pineapple work up pretty quickly 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing a picture of your pineapple, if you do the ice cream I’d love to see!

  15. I couldn’t wait for ice cream week! Here’s my mini cone, to help keep my kids from losing the mail key. 🙂 Thanks for the super cute free patterns!

    1. Hi Akira! I love your pretty name 🥰 I also love that you enjoy the super fun arts of crochet and knitting! It’s so awesome girls your age find a passion in needle arts, it’s a very fun and positive hobby! I tried to learn crochet at your age but accidentally bought knitting needles and watched a “How to crochet” video thinking it was all the same thing… needles to say I didn’t learn how to knit or crochet that day 😂 Thanks so much for your comment! Can’t wait for you to make some of these patterns!

  18. I’ve finished the little pineapple. I decided to go all yellow with him and think he turned out super cute. I’m planning to do the whole collection. Thank you for the adorable patterns!!

  23. Used up some scrappy stash to make the sun ! Super cute and fast!

    1. Haha I love him in the plant!! So cute 🙂 Your scrap stash had the perfect colors to make the sun! It looks like he’s waving “hi” in the photo, that just melts my heart with cuteness 🤩
I’m glad you found the pattern to go fast too, I had a fun time crocheting the sun together. It’s always fun to watch the amigurumi come together so quickly 🥰

  24. I thought I would do something different and made a pineapple that is blue and purple. I am quite pleased with how it turned out and can see myself making another one in the near future.

    1. Yikes! I forgot to include the image.

      1. Hey that is so cool! Who would have thought that those colors would work so well for a pineapple! It reminds me of the cool 90’s paper cups (I always loved that design haha). Glad that you liked how it turned out! Honestly it looks fantastic, the blue yarn has such a cool look 🙂 Is it stonewash yarn? I want to give that yarn a try sometime! Thank you for sharing your finished object with us!

        1. Yikes! Sorry for the late response! The yarn is Premier Yarn’s Premier Home Cotton in the colorway Ocean Splash. I really like this yarn and think it works great for amigurumi.

  25. I love this pattern!

    1. Hi Elaine, oh my gosh I just LOVE your penguin!! Suuuper cute, I also just adore how it looks like she’s doing the hula 😍 Too cute! Thank you so much for sharing, I hope you had fun making it!

  26. Thank you so much for this wonderful pattern!!! My parents went to Hawaii for their honeymoon, so I made these penguins for their anniversary. It was perfect! I think that my tropical penguins turned out great.
I had SO much fun making them. The hat, the flower lei, and the grass skirt were my favorite.

    1. Hi Stasia! Oh my gosh that is so nice of you to make a honeymoon gift for your parents! That’s really the perfect gift since they went to Hawaii!

I can’t emphasis enough how adorable your penguins look together! You should be so proud of yourself 🙂 Also I love the dolphins next to them ❤️ So glad to hear that you had fun making all of the clothes – the lei was probably my favorite too. I hope your parents loved their super cute gift! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

  27. Love these patterns! We’re having a Pineapple Party!!!

    1. Haha no way!! That is SO CUTE 😍😍😍 Good thing that isn’t Hawaiian pizza though… it might have scared the pineapples 😂

Thank you so much for sharing that adorable photo. Each pineapple is so cute and has their own personality! My favorite has to be the super colorful one on the left ❤️

  28. Just love pineapple amigurumi and very easy pattern to follow.

  29. I realize that I posted this little guy on the pattern page, not the contest page! Here it is again!

    1. Hi Nicole!! Haha no worries, I’m entering in the pictures people post on the pattern pages as CAL entries just in case 🙂 So cute!!!

      1. Oh cool! I’m loving this challenge! Here’s my second project (though I confess, I’ve made three duckies during this time as well!)
Looking forward to trying the ice cream, and my daughter loves the coconut and the s’mores!

        1. Here are the duckies! 🙂

          1. Hi Nicole! Oh my gosh those ducks all together…. TOO CUTE! They look like they’re in a singing group! That’s such a cute picture. Fantastic jobs on the duckies! The purple doily beneath them is gorgeous as well, do you happen to have a pattern for it? 😍

Thank you for sharing your super cute pineapple as well! It looks picture perfect Nicole 🥰 Everything you’ve made is just so fun and well done! (I hope your daughter pushes you to make the coconut because it’s really fun to make the straw for it) LOL 🙂

I hope you and your daughter have a fantastic day! Just love seeing everything you make. Thanks for giving me a smile ❤️❤️

      2. Sure thing! Here’s the link for the doily/coaster! It took me a bit to find it again. 🙂

        Circular Coaster

        1. And my daughter is making a crayon!!!

      3. And thanks so much! I’ve only dabbled in crochet before now (though my grandmother was a master, and my aunt made me crocheted toys when I was a baby!). Your designs are so easy to follow, cute, and well-executed! They’ve really helped me to challenge myself over the last few months! (Yep–definitely my quarantine skill. It’s nice to make happy things!)

        1. Thank you so much for linking to that awesome coaster! It’s so pretty that I think it looks like a doily 😍 Definitely going to make it!

Yay your daughter is making the crayon! I hope she likes it, it’s pretty fun and easy to make since most of it is a tube LOL 🙂 Take a picture when she’s done! I’m curious what colors she’s using.

That’s so sweet your grandmother and aunt crocheted, those handmade toys are so special ❤️ I think it’s really cool that you really learned more about crochet recently! It’s a skill you’ll be happy to have 🙂 You can crochet cute things for others and have a nice hobby that’s relaxing! Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ I hope to bring you so many more fun patterns in the future. Looking forward to making Christmas patterns for sure!

    1. Oh wow I totally love that tiny ice cream! I really like the bigger eyes you chose too, it makes it look so much more “kawaii” 😍 The little ice creams are kind of addicting to make, right? Haha thank you so much for sharing, I always love to see what you make Maureen! ❤️❤️❤️

      1. Made a scraps ice cream today… I thought he needed some toppings…

        1. Haha cuuuuute ❤️❤️❤️ He reminds me of a patriotic ice cream with the red white and blue. The sparkly blue is really cute, it looks like little sugars in the ice cream! Thank you for sharing! I just love it ❤️

  36. Here’s my ice cream!! So cute! I love the clever way you made it look like a “scoop” at the base! You know–the ice cream ruffles!

    1. Awww yes you made an ice cream! Haha I’m happy you like the ruffles for the scoop. I got to admit, that’s my favorite part of the pattern. That same technique is used in this cupcake pattern: https://stringydingding.com/cupcake-amigurumi-free-crochet-pattern/
The cupcake kind of looks like the ice cream too! You did a fantastic job as always Nicole! I love the cone color ❤️

  37. Here’s my coconut! The straw was so clever–but I did find attaching it to be a challenge! Also posting a pic of my summer collection so far!

    1. WOW! I looooove the coconut a lot! I’m so happy you made it 😁 The straw looks really good too. It is a bit of a challenge to sew it onto the coconut like you mentioned, but in the end it definitely looks super cute 🙂 Cute cute cute!

I usually do gift cards to the winner’s favorite craft store, but want to shake it up. Maybe a big yarn prize or something? I hope you’ll join along for the next one! 🙂 Be sure to sign up to the newsletter, because I’ll email you when the next one happens 😁
